(More customer reviews)I have been using this adapter for the past several months. It does work, although I question that I really get 1000ma from each USB port (or 2A total otherwise) since the phone charges much slower than 1A wall chargers.
However, there's a bigger issue with this adapter. There is a LOT of noise in the power coming out of it, enough to be noticed (loudly) in the audio output of my HTC incredible. Other chargers I have don't do this. It's so loud that I wonder if this affects the life of the phone's circuitry as well.
