1) It fits into the car's AUX and the phone.
2) It plays music but it's tricky. The ends are too loose. Accidentally moving the cord will cause a disturbance in the audio's volume. For example, it played only on the right side of my car so I have to twist the end (the one connected to my phone) until the music play on both sides of my car. Pretty much a pain because I always have to adjust the cord. Have not had a smooth ride with it.
Quality is cheap and feels cheap. Well, for $5.00 --I guess this is what you can expect.
Bottom line: Don't buy this. Unless you are okay with the occasionally fluctuations of the audio's volume.
