(More customer reviews)I've tried these before with with little luck. The generic holders fall apart after a while. This one is still holding up. The 4 of 5 is due to the fact that I have only had it for a while so we'll see long term. There are two options for mounting. the vent mount works, but be careful as the heat from the vent may adversely affect your gadget. Also, I've not been able to remove the now installed clip for the vent hookup. The window/dash mount option works better. Actually, I've had the mount on my dash (didn't think it would hold) for a few weeks. Let's see how cold/heat affect the mounting endurance. I'd say "buy it".
