(More customer reviews)ok so i own two of there beast. there in a 8 cubic foot sealed box, i put them in a dodge caliber. using a soundstream xxx 6500 watt amp. i know there listed as competition subs here on amazon but RE list them as sound quality subs. i personally dont know of a sound quality 18 inch sub but none the less they probably are some of the cleanest sounding subs i have ever owned and heard.
not many people go big and put 18's in there car but when you do people notice the difference. they dont know what you have but they know it's something other than everybody and there brother with 10's and 12's. the deepness in the bass in a truly awesome feeling.
only issue i have had is powering them. like i said i have a 6500 watt amp. yes it will do the job just fine but, when you get into this kind of set up there is a lot of cost the normal person might not consider. for instance. high output altinators, extra batteries. these thing's add to the growing cost when installing something like this in your car. dont think your going to buy a pair of these bad boys and just add a box and amp and your good to go. they are litterly snapping supporting structures in my trunk. i have had to use 3 layers or sound dampining mat and use expanding foam in my door pannels to get rid of 1/2 the rattel. the amp drops my cars voltage to 9v as soon as the bass hits. after buying these and the amp along with install cost, i am over $3,500 just to get them in my car and playing music. after the high output alitnator and a custom bracket with 2 additional batteries you can add another $2,000 to play them the subs like they want to be played. thats $5,500 just to listen to 2 subs. do i think it's worth it? yes. there an all around amazing sub and i knew what i was getting my self into before hand. (sorry for any poor spelling it's not a strong point of mine.)
